Syosset Soccer Club and Town of Oyster Bay Dedicate New Game Field and Honor Longtime Board Member
The Syosset Soccer Club proudly hosted a special field ceremony at Stillwell Park to celebrate the completion of a new natural grass game field and to honor one of the club’s most dedicated leaders.
Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor Joseph Saladino joined club officials, players, and families to commemorate the new field, made possible through the Town’s continued commitment to youth sports and community partnerships. The improved playing surface will serve as the new home for Syosset’s travel and intramural programs, providing a first-class environment for players to train and compete.
During the ceremony, the club also recognized Everett Boccafola, a longtime board member who is retiring after years of volunteer service to the club.. Everett’s leadership and dedication have been instrumental in guiding the club’s growth and supporting generations of Syosset players.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Town of Oyster Bay for their support in making this field a reality,” said Todd Cirella, Director of Field Operations. “It’s a tremendous addition to our community and a fitting backdrop to honor Everett for all they’ve done to help build this club.”
The Syosset Soccer Club looks forward to many more seasons of success and community togetherness on their new home field.
