U9 Pre-Travel Tryout Results

Boys U9

  • A - Team:  1, 3, 5, 10, 11, 15, 16, 22, 27, 29gk, 32, 39
  • Black Team: 2, 4gk, 6, 12, 13, 17, 26, 30, 31, 35, 37, 43
  • Red Team: 8, 9, 14,18, 19, 25, 28, 33gk, 34, 40, 41

Girls U9

  • A - Team: 1, 4, 5, 9gk, 14, 15, 19, 20, 22, 33, 35
  • Black Team: 2, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 23, 24, 25gk, 27, 38,
  • Red Team: 3, 6, 10, 11, 18, 21, 26, 28, 30, 31, 32

This year will be fielding 3 teams per gender. We will be fielding an “A” team and 2 other equally balanced teams.

Register on-line for the fall 08/Spring 09 seasons.

If you pre-paid for the U-9 Pre-Travel Program, and your child did not make the team, your check will be destroyed.

SYOSSET SOCCER CLUB

U-9 PRE TRAVEL PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Syosset Soccer Club offers all U9 girls and boys the ability to participate in the U9 Pre-Travel Program. The benefits of the program have been have been wonderful.  The purpose of the program is to introduce the children to a more structured and tutorial approach to the game of soccer as well as preparing them for the travel program. Some of the U9-Pre Travel highlights include:

  • Those children who participate in the U9 Pre-Travel program will no longer participate in the Intramural Program.
  • We will be participating in a league of with other local towns.
  • The club will enter a Major and Minor team for each gender into the U9 Pre-Travel program.
  • Each team will have two training sessions per week (one of which will be with the other U9 Pre-Travel team of the same gender).
  • Each team will have a Professional Trainer who will be required to coach at least half of the games.
  • Participation will be limited to 2 teams per gender.
  • Professional coaches will evaluate the players and select the teams (not a parent).

The cost to participate in the U9 Pre-Travel program will be $350. This fee will cover the cost of the two training sessions per week with a professional coach and his/her attendance at half of the games, a uniform, and insurance (for Fall and Spring seasons).
